INSURANCE AND HIRE CRITERIA

INSURANCE CRITERIA DRIVERS

Drivers must be between 23yrs old and 75 years old with more than 2 years driving experience on a Full Licence.

Has held a full UK or EU licence for minimum of 2 years

Has not had their licence suspended for any period within the last 3 years.

No more than 2 x 3 points / convictions (ie 2 x SP30's) if more than this we would have to refer to the insurance company and could be an extra charge or refusal to insure.

Has not obtained a BA, DD or UT Conviction

No more than 1 fault or outstanding incident/claim in the last 3 years.

DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED

1. Copy of the photo card driver's licence. Front and rear (address and ID must be up to date)

2. Online licence report check - check through the DVLA website. This will need to be completed and emailed through to us before you come to collect your hired van. Normally about 2 weeks before.

3. Two proof of address from separate sources i.e household bills within 3 months of your hire period.

4. Cleared Traceable Security/Damage deposit.

5. Signed Rental Agreement

PICK UP AND DROP OFF TIMES FOR MARGO, JERRY, TOM AND BARBARA

All of our vans Collection times are 10am for morning of collection

All of our vans Drop off times are 11am on day of return

If you require to drop one of the vans off later on the day of return, this can be discussed with ourselves before your hire but will incur an additional charge dependant upon return time. 

If you have not emailed copies of your drivers licence and proof of address before hire you will not be able to hire our vans as you will not be insured. You will also forfeit your deposit.

SECURITY DEPOSIT

There is a refundable GBP £1500 security/damage deposit.

This deposit needs to be in the lead drivers name and will be debited from your account on collection of your chosen van. 

On taking delivery of the vehicle you agree to pay the security deposit. You irrevocably authorise Good Life Campers to deduct from the security/damage deposit any amounts due by you to Good Life Campers arising out of this agreement. The Security/Damage deposit will be refunded within 7 working days of the vehicle being returned as per the criteria set out in our hire conditions. Motorhome collection and return and there are no outstanding insurance claims. It will NOT be refunded on return of the motorhome.

Should any damages or costs exceed the security deposit the customer will be responsible to settle all additional costs over and above the security/damage deposit value within 7 days of being notified of the cost, should any uninsurable damage exceed the security deposit held the hirer will be liable for the total cost and the difference will need to be settled within 7 days of returning the motorhome.

We also reserve the right to deduct any monies owed for vans not being cleaned on return or for late returns from the security/damage deposit.

CANCELLATION CHARGES

After you have paid your 25% deposit this is not refundable.

Your balance needs to be paid 4 weeks before your hire date. We do send emails reminding you but if you have not paid your balance after this email reminder and on the date given you may loose your hire and deposit.

If you have paid your deposit and then fail to pay your remainder this will mean you lose your deposit as it is not refundable as we will need to try and rebook the van.
